Types of Waves
There are 2 types of waves:
transverse
(e.g. tidal wave, stadium wave, eletromagnetic waves)
longitudinal waves
(e.g. sound wave, earthquake)
Transverse Waves
particles of the medium move in a direction
perpendicular
to the direction of the wave movement (or the energy movement).
Longitudinal Waves
particles of the medium move in a direction
